Piano Lessons

Learning music through positive encouragement.

My goal as a piano teacher is to expand students’ appreciation and love for music. I strive to help each student achieve their highest potential through patience, determination, laughter, and curiosity in a professional, relaxed, and respectful atmosphere.

Through learning skills in sight-reading, technique, ear training, improvisation, music theory, and the history of music, students learn to understand and perform music that they enjoy most!

Tuition

Private (one-on-one) lessons are provided on the same day and the same time on a weekly basis. Lessons are provided in my home studio (pictured below). Students can start as early as 5 years old. The studio currently has students of all ages and all levels, including beginner adults (it is never too late!).

Beginning students are offered 30 minute lessons for $120 a month. Intermediate to Advanced students are offered 45 minute lessons at $180 a month. Adult and Advanced students have the option of taking 60 minute lessons for $240 a month.

These rates are for the Fall (August-December) and Spring (January-May) seasons. There are 20 (once a week) lessons each season. Summer lessons are also available.

The first consultation is free! The consultation will allow you to get a chance to experience my teaching style and learn more about the studio!

Studio Events

There are several events throughout the year in which students can participate. The studio offers two recitals a year. A winter recital in December, and a spring recital in May.

I also encourage and help students to perform in their community (schools, nursing homes, etc.) and in festivals/competitions.

Cats in our home.

There are four very sweet and loving cats in our home. They are not allowed in the piano studio. There have been parents and students with cat allergies that haven’t had any issues. However, if you are more allergic to cats, you may want to take this into consideration before scheduling a consultation.
